Davis Place
Davis Place was a redevelopment of a single family home into 8 townhouses permitted as a Local Initiative Project (LIP) under Massachusetts General Law CH. 40B. The law allows local zoning to be waived in exchange of 25% of the homes to be deeded restrict in perpetuity as affordable. The project was a positive collaboration between Northeast Site Development and the Town and as a result the permits were received in an expedited time frame. The project was received so well that the Town often refers other applicants in the Town to refer to this project as example of what the Town would like to see built in the future under CH.40B.
